This trail is one of our favorites. It starts easy through the woods then ascends to either one of the two peaks. It depends which trail you start from Welch trail or Dickey. We have always started from Welch because there is a cliff overlook about 1/4 the way around the loop. After this cliff the trail ascends steeply up exposed granite to the peak of Welch, then down and quickly back up to get the
