Tapanga State Beach is located off the PCH (Hwy 1). This is a somewhat secluded beach setting and offers a bit of a point break for some great kayak surfing. There were no restrictions for kayaks, unlike Malibu and several other beaches. The sets were rolling in at about three - four feet and the point offered smaller rollers further up the beach.
