Laumeier Sculpture Park and Museum owns 447 objects, including 21 site specific works, 79 other large-scale outdoor sculptures, 66 interior sculptures, 39 maquettes, and 242 prints, drawings, photographs and book-art. This database represents works currently on display in the Park. The collection also contains related works by many of the artists, including flat art, maquettes and drawings. Laumeier is a large 105 acre park displaying over 70 large outdoor sculptures. They also feature an on site museum with more displays of art from local artists all the way to the internationally known. The site is also home to a museum shop where art from local artists is available for purchase. Laumeier also hosts several events throughout the year including art camps/classes, free music+movies nights ettractions.com
The park has a trail system that is actually a series of trails that meander throughout the park. All sections are well maintained and elevation changes are gradual. I took the perimeter trail that skirts the outer edges of the park. This section has both woodland sections as well as areas of well, maintained fields.
