Approach Take Interstate 125 North in San Diego until you reach Navajo Road. Turn left at the light and continue to Golfcrest drive. Turn right into the trailhead parking lot. There are restrooms and drinking fountains. This is a VERY popular trail, so don't expect solitude. It's more of a mall...
