Though close to the Garden State Parkway and the metropolis, the terrain here in Cheesequake State Park is pleasantly diverse and rather remote. Journey past historic clay pits along with an array of ecosystems: saltwater marshes, freshwater swamps, white cedar swamps, hardwood forests, and pine barrens. Fairly technical, lots of roots, short steep climbs and similar decsends, but nothing too difficult. It's a very short trail system. from mtbr.com
